MTTA Academy began in October 2001 just three weeks after the passing of Master Taíno’s slave tommy. The Academy was first known as “Master Taíno’s slave Training Weekend”, and eventually as “Master Taíno’s Training Academy.” In 2010, the name was changed to “MTTA Academy.”

Participants in the Academy’s training program have come from all around the United States, Canada and Europe. Training References: E-mail addresses from previous participants are provided with their permission to new applicants interested in references about the training.
